Originally from Boston, Andrew Parsons started out his career as a merchant sailor, journeying by boat around the Americas. During his travels, he discovered and a passion for the visual. In 1979, he picked up a camera for the first time—and he was hooked. Andrew graduated from The New England School of Photography in 1981, spent three years assisting other photographers, and then began working for himself. In 1993, he abandoned Boston for the Big Apple and launched a photo career in New York City—and he’s been shooting here ever since. Andrew’s work reflects the singular experiences and vantage points from which he views the world. Mixing old world knowledge with cutting edge digital technology, he crafts images that are both timeless and uniquely real. He possesses an inherent ability to step into any situation and create a moment—then capture it beautifully. He is also known for making his clients and subjects feel incredibly at ease. He currently shoots fashion advertising and celebrity portraits.
